As you can probably tell, my family loves the outdoors. It’s one of the main reasons that we live here in Coeur d’Alene Idaho. There is so much to do. Not only do you have Lake Coeur d’Alene, but you also have three or four other incredible bodies of water nearby to enjoy. Lake Fernan is sort of Lake Coeur d’Alene’s calmer, more relaxed sister. You’ll find a few power boats on this lake, but the activity is never as crazy as it is on Lake Coeur d’alene.

Take a Cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene
We have had the pleasure of entertaining close friends over the last several weeks and decided for all of us to take a cruise on the lake. Our friends have been looking for some property so we thought we’d all like to look at homes and property we probably will never be able to afford. A house on the lake can go anywhere from 1 to 30 million.
Beaver Bay Swimming - Farragut State Park
Our family loves to go swimming during the summer, well I guess you could say who doesn’t? Our work life allows us to spend lazy summer afternoons by lakes, rivers and any body of water we can find and one of our favorite places to swim and take in some rays is Beaver Bay in Farragut State Park in Athol Idaho. Farragut State Park is located just north of Coeur D’alene about 20 miles from downtown.
Higgens Point - our favorite park
Yesterday we ventured out to a park that I had only visited while on my bike training for my triathlons. Since I haven’t been training much, I hadn’t seen this park all year. Wow did it change. I always remembered it as too small and the only redeeming quality was that it had clean bathrooms. It has now become our favorite summertime hangout spot.
